Use OCR to read printed text from a JPG or PNG image.

    2. Select the language that matches the printed text.
    3. Select Extract text, then download and proofread the TXT result.

    Common questions and quick fixes

Why does Image to Text miss words?

Blur, shadows, small print and tilted photos reduce OCR accuracy. Crop unused edges, straighten the image and use a sharper scan when possible.

Why does the first OCR conversion take longer?

The browser downloads recognition files for the selected language on first use. Keep the tab open and allow the download to finish.

Can image OCR read handwriting accurately?

Results vary, and this tool works best with clear printed text. Check handwritten names and numbers carefully rather than relying on the output alone.

Will the TXT file keep my image layout?

No. TXT contains plain text. It does not keep pictures, fonts or exact spacing. Review tables and columns for reading-order errors.

Helpful tip: Check dates, prices and reference numbers against the original image.
